Scandinavian style is one of the latest interior design trends.
I love it for its purity and graphics. The interior's Scandinavian motifs send us to an atmosphere of comfort, peace, and tranquility for its natural materials and enveloping comfort.
Customers already had a beautiful and thoughtful interior. Asked me to help bring some zest to the room space. The interior already had a vertical painting with a pen, in the color spectrum of which there were colors beloved by the hostess: the delicate bloom of tiffany, but a little muted, light yellow, antique black. I pushed away from this color combination.
The color in the interior should be exactly the color that pleases the house residents. Since the room was on the north side, I wanted to bring some sun to the interior, revive it a little with flowers.
The room's main accent was a wooden wall composition created by the masters of the company "Jamike Home Improvement," according to my drawings from polished wooden strips covered with matte varnish. They have done the job excellently! A unique graphic created precisely under this space, which brought the room to an entirely new aesthetic level. I am happy with the work of the contractors.
Everything here has its character, its place. Each is self-sufficient and functional: a gorgeous coffee table made of the wooden massif, which opens and serves as additional storage.  Accent Mid-century chairs are very comfortable. A natural wool handcrafted area rug is soft and cozy. The beauty of this carpet consists precisely in non-standard, lack of precise geometry. The diamond-shaped pattern of the carpet visually expands the space. The color scheme binds together all the colors of the interior as if completing the overall picture.

    Gorgeous and impressive. Sophisticated chic of dark grey walls.  Every detail is thought out and brought to the absolute, complementing each other and revealing new details.
    I'm glad to share photos of the completed Design project for the first floor of a house located in Vienna, Virginia. The project was done in the Elegant Eclectic style, now commonly referred to as Transitional. This means we haven't entirely moved away from the classical elements; we still retain some while incorporating modern elements and technologies into the interior.
     The house itself is beautiful, even without the design. The clients have great teste, and working on this project was exceptionally easy and interesting. I only added some colors to the interior and did some decoration. I didn't change the furniture layout.
     The client wanted to bring warmth and coziness to the interior. I love to combine different textures in my interiors: wallpapers with painting. I always complement the project with the decor I made for each project. This way, I leave a part of my soul in the house, and it's always a positive touch. With a bit of color, luxury, a few accessories, and... your home acquires its character, filled with the energy of the homeowners and all the family members.
     Each new project is communication with wonderful people, understanding the family's psychology, the personality of each individual in this house... Each project is like your child... It's endured, born, and it's always loved!!!

"Anastasia". Library. 2019

I called this project "Anastasia," the name of his mistress.
     I love this project very much because we had a complete mutual understanding with the client and I was given a great opportunity to totally realize all of my ideas. 
     I received a request for the interior design for the single house first floor. Firstly, we started creating the interior of the library. The client outlined her wishes, preferences. She herself was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She is a very exquisite person who grew up in the city-museum of Russian history, the city of Russian tsars. She wished to equip the library in a strict and refined style, not entirely classical, but still aged, stylish and elegant. We settled on the Neo-classic symbiosis of classical and modern.
     In this project, a completely unique author's design of the fireplace is of interest. It is a fake fireplace. The flame itself does not burn - a particularly important moment for a family with small children. This is a steam flame, the main advantage of which is the saturation of the air with the necessary amount of moisture. It looks incredibly realistic. I used the simplest materials to finish the interior of the fireplace, this is black tiles. It perfectly shades the playing flame and creates the effect of buried walls of the fireplace. We brought the fireplace portal from the other side of the planet, and it fits into the style of ancient St. Petersburg as easily as possible.
      The client asked to keep the existing burgundy columns. I beat the interior with silk wallpaper of luxurious burgundy color, which I used in niches. Niches favorably emphasized the columns and tied together with the interior of the room. Color scheme - a combination of St. Petersburg’s shades of colors: deep gray, Bordeaux, ancient bronze. Fabrics used in the interior - only velour... deep heat-gray color with a lilac tint in evening lighting.
The focal point of the project was the picture of a young woman. Very character picture, magnificent, mystical, and impeccable with performance. I am just in love with this author's paintings! Why is green unexpected, seemingly color? Because the second room of the first floor is the abode of the spouse. It is made in deep green scales. And, two spaces, two worlds of spouses may, although different in nature, still they are closely intertwined with subtle accents, lines, poetry, and emotions.

Warm evenings of Tuscany

       In the fall, I received an order for a Mediterranean-style interior project.
My client is in love with Italy, the sunny climate, the warm breeze of the Mediterranean Sea, the spirit of Italy with its antiquity, ancient history, and the colors of Tuscany.
     She showed me a picture representing the subconscious carrying her into the distance, to places of peace, tranquility, and quiet happiness.
     As well she showed me existing interior items, which she had already fallen in love with and would not want to part with. It's a massive vintage sofa. She also asked to leave a dinner table made of solid wood. The reproduction of Klimt's painting "Kiss" excites the consciousness of any woman and takes thoughts into the memories of unrestrained passionate love.
So, for the Designer, a specific task was drawn to create an interior for a particular woman. The interior will become a place of a kind of meditation, where each element of the interior will relax its worldview and send it on a mental journey to places beloved by the heart.
 The keywords of this interior were: "Italy," "Tuscany," "Warm Breeze," "Kiss," "Romance," "Good Wine," and "Fire."
The client indicated her lumpy colors: yellow - the color of the sun, blue - the color of the sky, and the color of green turquoise.
She also asked to see for her a place to read books, a place to rest by the fireplace, if it is possible to build it anywhere.
So, the request was fascinating, and I took great pleasure in implementing it.
I put both pictures of the client in front of me and tried to tune in to the emotional wave that the client described.
I divided the joint space into three zones: "dining area," "book reading area," and "fireplace seating area."
I used three colors suggested by the client, but I made the gamut easier with scattered colors.
I attributed each color to a specific zone. In the dining area, I wanted to create an issue of a gazebo located by the sea. So that the client's friends feel that they are dining overlooking the sea, under ancient arches somewhere in Tuscany, among vineyards, with falling grape clusters.
The massive table was complemented by chairs of deep green color with a touch of antiquity.
I also created wall racks for storing dishes storing expensive wine collections.
When you sit at the table, your eyes rush to the seascape, giving an enduring impression that you are in the gazebo, with friends, by the sea.
I provided a small corner fireplace in the second zone - the "fireplace zone" since there was literally no room for it. The fireplace is essentially decorative. This is an electric fireplace that carries more semantic load than functional. The Mediterranean style combines the interweaving of both Eastern and European styles. To my delight, I found gorgeous decorative tiles in the Moroccan style of green-turquoise color with elements of ancient bronze ornaments. The tiles are rich in texture, sending us mentally to ancient times.
Each item is designed in style. The combination of colors is impeccable.
A small snag was between the hallway and the hall. The entrance hall already had a traditional style wallpaper. It was a challenge to fit this wallpaper into the new stylized hall. It was necessary to visually divide these two spaces so that they did not conflict with each other but, on the contrary, complemented each other. But how to do this without losing space, significant investments, and big construction projects. I suggested that the client divide the zones with an arch stylized in an ancient style and, thereby, separate the two zones visually without losing light and space. I took a photo of the turn in the dining area as the prototype and created a drawing. Contractors quickly built this divider, then I aged it, painting it in the antique style. The result pleased the client and me.
To conclude, there was a dissonance between the two interior elements - a massive vintage, muscular sofa and a modern-style couch that stood along the same wall and argued among themselves for attention.
How do we reconcile the debaters? Of course, divide them. I predict to separate the couch from the united space with a small curtain that will not obscure the light but will create a romantic atmosphere.
Also noteworthy was the allocation of this zone to the custom-made decorative ornament in Moroccan style, carved from wood. Thus, the long, clumsy wall was divided into two visual zones through unique decorative elements.
The general impression of the space of three zones can be felt while you are in the center of the hall. Turning into one of the sides, you see zones with your purpose that are different in emotions but closely related stylistically and in the interpenetration of colors. The colors echo and complement one another.


Saule "EUROPOLIS"

    October 2011. Almaty, Kazakhstan. "Absolute Harmony" Project by #OxaKovalli. Our second Interior Design Project immediately was published on the cover of the most famous Interior Design Magazine in Central Asia "IDEAS". 
    One of the main ideas of this apartment is the opposition to the everyday aesthetics of direct corners and flat surfaces, created by round, soft lines. 
  First of all, this idea was embodied in the reconstruction of the living room's ceiling. It was decided to make a three-level structure to hide the structural beam on the top. The main plan was a spherical shape resembling a "shanyrak"- a Kazakh symbol of a substantial family hearth. The gloss of the stretch ceiling was filled with freedom and expanded the living room space. Multi-level backlighting allows you to change the lighting intensity depending on the mood.
   The whole interior is solved in a creamy brown scale, adding white. This is a soft furniture-flowing shape in the communicating zone, arranged in a circle. In the center of the living room is a half-socket of art parquet. Light parquet repeats the ceiling shape, visually zoning the space, which creates the perfect completion of the living room.
   The wall with built-in niches and a TV is covered with striped wallpaper. When lighting changes, these wallpapers have a different holographic effect. The same wallpaper in darker color is partially present-they also work on the decoration of the corridor.           The walls of the hall are covered with wooden artificially aged light panels are a classic device that gives respect- worthiness to the entire interior. The corridor passes into an open festive dining room.
    The dining area is dominated by vanilla color. Chairs and tables decorated with tablecloths, crystal sconces, and chandeliers - all this, as a result, makes the interior elegant and solemn. The light floral wallpaper in the beige range is the same as the living room.    The apartment's windows and doorways are decorated with milky bronze curtains. 
   The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a sliding wood and glass Perego. It has separate access to the corridor. At the expense of this partitions in the dining room create a feeling of privacy. On the floor, excellent opacification of tiles and parquet supports the color scheme of the entire apartment. The ceiling in two levels with LED illumination is complemented by spots. The lighting in the kitchen you picked up with the expectation of comfort. The chocolate color fragment of the ceiling harmonizes with the floor tiles along the perimeter of the entire kitchen. The extended facade of the milk-white kitchen, the wall decoration, and the natural stone countertop emphasize the composition's linearity. The built-in household appliances contrast against the bright background of the kitchen, the facade of which is artificially aged. In the center of the kitchen is a white round table with chairs. This is a place for family breakfasts in a cozy environment. The kitchen by #Europrestizh" kitchen factory is simply created for culinary exploits.
     A combination of beige tiles and dark chocolate mosaic in a picturesque panel that imitates algae that smoothly go along the walls to ceiling is an exciting design move for a small room like a bathroom. A blurred horizon line creates the illusion of even more pro-of the country. The built-in niche repeats the bend of the pattern on the walls. Wavy, the podium in two levels near the bath is made of liquid stone - an imitation of dark marble. Thanks to this design, the necessary little things are always at hand.
This bathroom really fascinates the look; I want to look at it. It corresponds to all the wishes of the customer are elegant and comfortable; there is no which is superfluous. 
    The interior design of this apartment is distinguished by sophistication, a general neutral color scheme, and spectacular additions skillfully and tastefully placed by project designers. They made reality all the customer's wishes, creating a feeling of absolute harmony and peace.

"Absolute Harmony"

2013. Almaty, Kazakhstan. 5200Square feet of empty office space. I created a space planning layout and selected furniture, wall, floor materials, and lighting fixtures. Provided Interior Design Project management. Results of my work: This project was published by the most famous Interior Design Magazine of Kazakhstan, IDEAS.  
 The name of the project is "X-PRO MODEL." 
    The name was born from the name of the client company. The office space design isn't less challenging than working on a residential interior. The interest in creating commercial spaces is determined by the fact of necessary taking into account the peculiarities of the business itself. The customer's needs, such as:
business expansion, modeling the premises to attract new customers, and changes in the company's image.
    To make a space more functional requires additional knowledge - merchandising. The company's offices should work for smooth communication of the participants of this business. 
     A modern office is the embodiment of the company itself. From the entrance, a potential client has a general impression of the company - its success, solvency, creativity, and solidity. The task set before the company designer was simple and not easy. First, the customer wanted to get strict, but at the same time creative office, underlining the company's ability to be on the wave of time, the use of new technologies, and the budget were quite limited. We should consider that this is a marketing company's office. Accordingly, the company for the production of glossy magazines should represent fashion, its recognizable style, and as a result, a new, modern office, embodying a new model of doing business - a single team, a single space, creativity.
    The semicircle is my favorite theme - the circle is unification, perfection, and harmonious space. The primary colors used in this project are deep gray and red-black (the colors of the company logo). Red and black are the vibrant colors that act as accent colors in this project. But, since the gray-black-red theme is somewhat gloomy, we decorated walls with collages - a portfolio of the company's works made by the designer for a visual presentation of the results of the production association.
     Since the office is creative, the client chose one furniture company from several offered, which offered the best option. The @BENE company offers the largest selection of ergonomic office furniture to fit into any intricate interior, as they provide a wide range of colors of both upholstery fabrics for upholstered groups and furniture itself, lamps, and accessories, and in addition, unusually comfortable furniture. 
    The main accent that emphasizes the semi-circular layout of the main operating room is the red semi-circular hanging structure. Furniture makers made it according to the designer's sketch. I created lights (pointed lights). The main goal of which is to reduce noise. That is why I used a woolen fabric, which, in turn, also serves as noise insulation by itself. 
    The main idea is not to overload the space with cold lamps, which are usually inherent in all standard offices, and dilute the cold office environment with something unusual but very functional and compensate for the leading light. The convenience of this suspension design and the light incident only directly above the desk space managers and designers, as provided in the "rest" area. Hence the energy savings - the light works strictly over the working space.

In July 2015, we received an order for a design project for an optimistic cafe with no less optimistic name "Barabulka." The task set by the customer was to create a cozy, stylish, and modern interior of the restaurant, where you can have a tasty snack, a cup of coffee, or a glass of fine wine. How to choose the cafe style in a wide variety of magnificent interiors of restaurants and cafes in Almaty? As usually happens, the name of the cafe, its location, and the basic requirements stated by the customer set the tone of the interior: the city, greenery, and optimism ... Hence the color scheme of the cafe: the warm concrete, plus the warm spectrum of natural shades of young grass and mature leaves and orange, as the brightest color on earth: the color of orange, happiness, and smile. Eco-design cannot be irrelevant in our gloomy time, a time of change and urbanization. Dullness of grey, a concrete city always and always compensate for the greenness of our beautiful city, and only colored spots bring us the joy of being and make us smile and enjoy life. The main idea was to transfer all the good that overflows the hearts of some people to other people. That's why there are "walls of happiness" on the walls. When you read them, the visitor, no matter what mood he is in, will find such simple and necessary words of support, happiness, and sound advice... There is a particular mystery... You are overwhelmed with thoughts, but when you look up, you see such necessary words of support: Live, Love, the best things happen when you do what you love...  
      Zoning of the cafe is focused on different categories of visitors: different characters, different moods, and different age groups. 
 The large room on the left is a meeting place for good old friends, romantic couples, and colleagues who appreciate the coziness, warmth, romantic and enveloping environment, and dim light. Everything here has been thoroughly thought out: Light, color, accessories, scenery. Since there are no windows in this room, we created false windows and installed a giant lightbox. The primary purpose of establishing a light box was not only to provide additional light to the room and visually expand the space by horizontal lines. The main objective was the idea of recreating the feeling of being in a cozy, romantic place, such as a cafe on the ocean. Living in the city, we often remember the warm days spent by the sea: its breath, the beautiful, picturesque sunset, the peacefulness, and happiness. Therefore, cold winter evenings will always be pleasant to sit near the "sea" and remember the warm days. 
A central hall is a gathering place for people who come to relax, have a few good drinks under the Happy hour system and chat with friends while listening to music. I deliberately did not put a lot of seating in the bar. I wanted to adopt the foreign experience, where customers usually stand at the bar and chat after a hard day's work. They enter the bar between the end of work and before they go home to drink a glass of good wine or a bottle of beer at an excellent price. The goal is not to get drunk but to savor a good drink and then go home afterward. The bar itself, of course, takes center stage: it is bright, stylish, laconic, and there is no second of its kind in the city - fact.)))) If you look at it, it seems that it is filled with water. The bottom of the bar is studded with white pebbles, reminding a little of the sea. LED lights came very handily in a bar. First- BAR a BUL'KA- a bar that bubbles. Hence the idea of bubbles. Since the cafe is optimistic, the bubbles should be fun. Here to help was a LED system that could change 16 colors. That is, the mood of the cafe can be changed just by changing the color of the fixtures. And the bar's atmosphere is more than positive and joyful because the lighting fixtures look like balloons.     
    The room to the right of the entrance is a room of abstraction for young people. The idea came from the paintings of Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) with his famous extreme modernist - abstractionist paintings. Like him, I wanted to give a dynamic balance. I hate symmetry and order, which tires me out in our humdrum lives. The mood of the room is dictated by a rebellious spirit. I created the interior against order and order - there is no symmetry in anything, not in the arrangement of the furniture, not in the pattern, not in lighting.
The laundry baskets I made into light fixtures are also from the "Breaking Stereotypes" thread. Who says laundry baskets can't become unique chandeliers that give the interior a coziness that the most demanding romantic couldn't even dream of?         

Who says that ceilings can't be another color? Why can't regular wooden vegetable crates be used as wall decor, pallets can't become chic decorative partitions to divide zones, and palm brooms can't fly across the ocean in three days and become unique tropical flowers? 
We paint our world ourselves, and only we decide what our world will be: joyful or dreary. And not always; for your interior to be memorable, stylish, and groovy, you need to use expensive materials. Everything is at our fingertips. Just look around: there are no limits to imagination! In your world and left by "aliens" drawings on the margins, you can swirl mirror bubbles, drawing on the walls of the essence of the universe - the galaxy. 
And only in your world ordinary sewage pipes can become orange and quite unexpectedly lamps ... So, friends, draw your joyful world and do not limit your imagination to conventional boxes. Make up dreams, draw your positive world, bring goodness to people, and create!


Two worlds

2013. The Interior Design project was created for 14 years, old teenagers. His parents bought an extra apartment for the boy on the same floor where they lived. Two additional rooms were attached to his parent's apartment, but the boy had his own area. His parents set him the task of creating three differently designed spaces: a sleeping area, a place for working, studying, and playing the piano, and a sports area. Overall, the task was not difficult. We decided on colors and style and set about creating the design. The guy loved the sea, yachts, music, and sports. So the whole concept poured out of the teenager's favorite trends. I chose wallpaper from the American company York, a noble blue color with a pattern of yachts. I used this wallpaper in combination with a vertical stripe in the study. In addition to the wallpaper, I suggested the same style and pattern of curtains - laconic and straightforward. Since the room ceiling was disproportionately high, we relieved it visually by painting it in the same dark blue matte color and hanging a white Armstrong grid at a level that was harmonious for the room. 
I used lightboxes on the walls of the bed's headboard in the bedroom. I used my photos from New York, where I had just come from. The lightboxes were custom-made to my drawings and were utterly unique. 
All of the furniture was picked out in a modern style. Painted MDF - the colors of the doors were matched strictly to the wallpaper and primary colors of the interior. 
The gym was framed with high-strength laminate explicitly designed for gym/dance rooms. I also put laminate on the walls to visually expand the space, and in addition, I added wall mirrors so the guy could see the results of his workouts.

Bakar's family asked me to help them with the kitchen renovation. The budget was limited and we tried to stay within the budget. That is why we used not expensive materials. But the result was amazing and most important that the client was happy. So, I selected a gray-whiten color palette not only because it is still very popular, but because the client's request was to make this space lighter, visually cleaner, and more spacious and airy. We've tried to save money and I selected LVT waterproof and scratch-resistant floor planks, which perfectly worked with a granite countertop.  To make this space visually wider I selected Italian marble-looking tiles and suggested placing them in horizontal lines. As well I selected a dark grey grout to make contrast lines for these backsplash tiles. My contactors installed perfectly White kitchen cabinets doors with the soft closing mechanism. So, we did not change kitchen cabinets but only painted them with the special kitchen paint, selected with coordination to the kitchen doors. Finally, the contractors painted the ceiling with satin paint to make this space airier. The client was very happy with the result and gave us a 5-star review.

I am glad to present a new project, Powder room design in a modern style. This project is as simple as it is not ordinary with its solution. The powder room is the most typical, small. I used wallpaper for this project, changing the visual space - increasing it. The idea was to extend the semicircular corridor by creating additional vertical backlit niches. I also used everyone's long-loved living moss to decorate the wall so that the powder room did not look like a lifeless and dull corridor. The interior lines are clean. The interior is not overflowing with accents and flowers. Everything is concise and restrained: concrete and flowers, the latest technology and wildlife, wood and metal, yin-yang.

I am pleased to introduce to your attention the Renovation Project "Ellada Studio & Spa," located in North Point, Reston, VA.
The client invited me to see her salon and give recommendations on what can be changed, or how to supplement the existing space to make it attractive to customers. It should be noted that we did not change the layout of the room. We did not carry out construction works, only cosmetic works, and updated furniture.
The customer 's wish was to make the space stylish, attractive. After the discussion, we decided to focus on the modern style with elements of the classic.
The client told me: "This is Ellada and here every woman should feel like a goddess."
I changed the zoning of the space, increased the number of seats in both the manicure department and the hairdresser. I replaced the gold colors of the walls with two tones of grey and like accent- graphite. We left gold only in the name of the salon, it is enough.
I do not recommend using many colors in one interior. Maxum is three, of which two are complementary, one-accent. I prefer to play with textures but not colors. Based on this provision, we ordered furniture one color- black. Because furniture in Neoclassic speaks for itself at the expense of multiple "Baro-Face" elements, I ordered matte skin. Importantly, this furniture is designed specifically for commercial premises, very good in care.
The pedicure zone looked a little sad... There was not enough wind... Thus, I, using flowers created by Ritushka Inc, Rita Terteryan, let into the interior a little dynamics, carried away in the distance of flowers...
